Black Cohosh is a perennial plant native to North America with a long history in both Indigenous and Western Herbalism. This herb has been used traditionally and modernly to ease hot flashes, night sweats, and mood changes associated with menopause through serotonergic and hypothalamic pathways rather than binding directly to estrogen receptors. This herb has also been used for musculoskeletal support such as chronic muscle tension, joint stiffness, and rheumatic aches.
